Joanne received her Juris Doctorate (JD) from of the University of San Diego School of law and a Master of Science (MS) degree in Forensics from Drexel University – College of Medicine. With her strong background in science, Joanne focused her studies at USD in Intellectual Property and attained a concentration in that field. TALG is happy to have Joanne join our growing team!

The Amin Law Group, Ltd. is pleased to announce that associate attorney, Samantha Weissman, has been recognized by the Orange County Bar Association for her volunteer work with the Community Outreach and Education Committees. The Community Outreach Committee’s mission is to facilitate the provision of community services by the OCBA, its members and affiliates. The committee’s work helps to create a more positive image of the OCBA and the legal profession in the community. Additionally, it is the mission of the Education Committee to plan and coordinate CLE programs which will provide a forum for OCBA members to receive current, interesting and quality educational programs in an effort to help meet their California State Bar MCLE requirement.

Kevin Meade, Managing Partner of TALG’s California office, was a featured speaker at the 1st Annual Intermountain Construction Defect & Dispute Conference (“CDDC”) presented by Advise & Consult, Inc., on May 15, 2015 in Sandy, Utah. Numerous speakers at CDDC covered an array of topics relating to construction defects, construction insurance disputes and property management issues. Kevin’s presentation at CDDC was entitled “I-15 Construction Defect Overview” and during the presentation Kevin and his fellow panel members outlined the construction defect laws of California, Nevada and Utah. Kevin, who will practice out of the Irvine, California office, has represented hundreds of clients in all areas of litigation over 17 years, focusing on complex litigation matters, including construction defect, insurance coverage, business disputes, class actions and environmental/bodily injury claims. Kevin regularly assists clients in identifying and developing risk transfer alternatives and utilizing alternative dispute resolution vehicles to efficiently resolve cases. Kevin has represented numerous homebuilders, developers and general contractors in construction defect and insurance litigation, as well as subcontractors. Kevin has successfully handled cases for his clients involving property and bodily injury claims with toxic mold in residential projects, copper pipe pinhole leak class action claims, and product liability stemming from foreign-made products. Kevin has tried cases for his clients on both the defense and plaintiff side, has handled numerous multi-party arbitrations and mediations, prepared, argued and opposed significant law and motion filings, and has helped his clients with creating and implementing risk management plans. Kevin has been a speaker at multiple conferences regarding construction related issues. Kevin earned his bachelor’s degree from UCLA where he was a columnist at the Daily Bruin newspaper. Kevin earned his law degree from The University of Utah College of Law, where he was a William H. Leary Scholar and a Legal Writing & Research Teaching Assistant.
